Valagas is one of several mobs in this zone who uses an ability that does a considerable amount of damage (in the neighborhood of 32,000 or more) to any player who is within its area of effect. Valagas reportedly gives an emote prior to his using the ability; however, I was not able to catch its exact wording. In short, when you see a large orange pulsing ring, get out of it immediately, as this is the area in which the damage will detonate.
