Keywords appear on some LoN cards and add a wide range of additional abilities to that card. In game, clicking the blue link shown on the card will give you a description of each keyword.
- Whenever you play another card, your card that has the Frenzy keyword gets +1 attack until the end of the turn.
- Your unit that has the Guardian keyword can't begin a raid and it doesn't join a raid you begin.
- You can play your card that has the Hidden keyword as a combat action when your avatar is a combatant.
- A unit or avatar that has this keyword can't take damage of any kind.
- You can't play another unit that has the same title as a unit you control that has the Legend keyword.
- Linking one card to another allows for an ongoing effect that lasts until either card leaves play.
- Whenever you apply an ability that has the Overwhelm keyword at a quest where friendly units outnumber opposing units, place an additional level token at that quest.
- Whenever your unit that has the Protector keyword, is ready and your opponent applies an ability at the same quest, that ability creates one less level token.
- Whenever combat is about to begin involving a friendly unit at a different quest, if your unit that has the Reinforce keyword and is ready, you may move it to that quest.
- When you play a card that has the Restore keyword, you may ready a unit.
- Some card effects provide runes for units or avatars, that have one or more points. When a unit or avatar that has a rune would be dealt damage, it loses a point from its rune instead.
- Whenever an opposing unit is played at the same quest as your unit that has the Sentinel keyword, your unit gets +2 defense until the end of the turn.
- Whenever an opponent attempts a quest where you have a unit that has this keyword, put a vigilance token on that unit. Each unit that has this keyword tells you in its game text how to use its vigilance tokens.
