The epic weapon quest starts in Jarsath Wastes. Head to the The Temple of the White Lady, in Skyfire. There are a number of mobs here that see invis, so plan to either carefully move between them or to kill them on your way in. When you get to the room with a moving platform, go down the ramp on the left hand side and follow it to the bottom. Here you can find a small ice dervish called Psychomalleable Ice. The dervish can be found anywhere around the temple. Right click on this to gain 2 new abilities -- Query Element and Dominate Element.
Use Query Element on the Psychomalleable Ice and then cast Dominate Element. The Psychomalleable Ice will become your pet. Head back to Teren's Grasp in Kylong Plains and find a gnome named An Apprentice (you later learn his name is Vence Laden) at ( 1833, 483, -808 ). He will have another ice dervish on the table next to him. By speaking to him you find out that the Psychomalleable Ice was a test to find a worthy conjurer.
If you die, you lose the ice pet and will need to get a new one to proceed with the quest. You can use the sokokar posts without any problems to try and avoid this.
Use Query Element then Dominate Element on a docile earth elemental. You will then be given a buff which augments your vision allowing you to see the elemental plane.

Go to the scrying pool room in Karnor's Castle at -47,-56,104
From the entrance go straight through the first room cross the bridge and take a left, climb up the first stairs and take a left into the courtyard.

Click on the pool (clicking the pool breaks invisibility) and a water construct will appear.
Use the Query Elemental and Dominate Element abilities on it. (you will have to use the abilities several times on the same construct until you finally dominate it and the named pops)
Continue Dominating the elemental and eventually a named ^^^ will pop.
Next Step is to Dominate Phrotis. This is in a solo instance, The Elemental Chamber.
He is surrounded by 4 Elementals, Fire, Earth, Water and Air, which are initially untargetable. You need to Query and Dominate Phrotis for your epic. You can Query him any time, but he can only be Dominated below 10% health.
Click on the brazier behind him to start the fight. After he is engaged, he will emote every 20 seconds that he is drawing energy from the elementals and looks towards one of them which will become targetable targetable. You will be able to see which one is targetable because it's name will be displayed about it.
Now you need to react quickly and target it, Query it and Dominate it. You will only need to Query each elemental once; subsequent times you can just Dominate it.
If you fail to to Dominate the elementals as they become targetable:
Fire will damage you, around 1k
Air will hit you with a very long Stifle. It's long enough that your best bet is to zone and start over.
Water has a 50% heal, which isn't so bad but still consumes time.
Earth adds and hits like a truck but has very few hps.
If you succeed in Dominating the elements as they become targetable you gain benefits:
Fire gives damage to Phrotis
Air gives a Stifle so Phrotis can not use his stun/teleport against you
Water heals you
Earth's add becomes a swarm pet for you.
Note that you don't actually have to do any personal damage to Phrotis, as Fire and Earth do sufficient damage to him, without taxing your mana. You can completely dedicate your manapool to other things.
At 1% Phrotis stops taking damage. Just Query and Dominate him for your epic. This must be done fast, as he starts spamming the elements.

Level 90 Mythical Conversion
Your Mythical Weapon has unique effects which will not work on level 81-90 spells, combat arts, or pets. By completing two quests, you may convert your Fabled or Mythical Epic Weapon into an Enervated Weapon and add persistent Mythical Effect spells to your knowledge book. This allows you to acquire other weapons without losing class-defining Mythical effects.
The quest requires that your class and your Epic weapon match. You will only receive the mythical spell gem of your current class.
You can start this series as long as you have the fabled version of your epic. But if you have completed "Epic Repercussions" then you will not be rewarded the mythical weapon if you go back and complete your class specific Kunark mythical quest.
The quests which make your Epic Weapon effect into a spell is the same for all classes.
