Cash Shop

Dictionary
A Cash Shop is an interface in the game where you can use some form of token (purchased with real cash) to buy in-game items. These items are usually cosmetic or convenience items and not required to play the game. The same is not true in many Chinese and Korean games where Pay-to-Play has become an accepted practice.

Many games are using this transaction model, sometimes called micro-transactions, to monetize their game and avoid raising subscription prices. Some have done away with subscriptions all-together (Free-to-Play).
