Boiling Oil is deployed on a special mechanism located above the doors. You can purchase Boiling Oil from Quartermasters located in any friendly Warcamp. To dump oil on the attackers just right-click on the boiling oil. The Boiling Oil and anyone near it are going to be the main targets of the Ranged classes of the attackers. As such repairing is generally pointless and you are best off having a tank, with a dedicated healer, working the machine.
