This one turned out really well. The kabocha as a medium gives it a very eerie feel. -Usagi
I really like the dark, foreboding feel of this one, as if you're in the very heart of the Den of Rancor! -Vlorsutes
Incredible artwork. The shading techniques used really add a sense of depth to the design. -Thayos
I love the way you shaded the kabocha to give it a misty, eerie feeling. -Pikko
Very good use of shading, etc. This is one of my favorites! -Kellinda
Really love how the tonberry looks when lighted... gonna have to [vote for] that one. -bsphil
Some really good entries again this year. My vote has to go with Tonberry though. That just looks almost realistic in a creepy sort of throat-stab you while you sleep way. -chluke
I love the tonberry. It's fantastic and the use of shading is wonderful. -catwho
Something about the Tonberry just put it over for me. A lot of really good and fantastic ones though. -Overburn
I <3 that the Tonberry uses a green squash, or whatever it is. The coloring really adds to the amazing shading! -chewzer
The tonberry gets my vote [...] for using a different medium and using it's strengths to really control the mood of the carving. Very creepy, very vote worthy. -LordMnementh
Tonberry was a close second [for me] because it looks so realistic, the shading makes it seem more 3d than any pumpkin (or green vegetable thing) should! -Codyy
Tonberry looks shopped. It's way too amazing to be real. -ThePsychoticOne
Tonberry was awesome, particularly when viewing the non-Dark picture. -TheBarrister
At first the tonberry one looked a bit odd, but then I realised how detailed it was... -ditx
What better way to celebrate Halloween than to Throat Stab children that come to steal your damn candy with a Tonberry disguised as a vegetable! Absolutely love it. -Excenmille
