Everquest doesn't handle consequence's very well. If im not mistaken the last big consequence driven Everquest expansion was Scars of Velious involving the Sleeper. If one of the top guilds didn't want anyone else to farm items from the warders they would at some point awaken the sleeper. If im not mistaken the zone some time after that would actually change and the mobs that spawned within it would as well. I could be wrong about that but since then have they ever had some permanent change like that? Now we are talking more than 18 expansions later and like i said i could be wrong but they don't have permanent consequences like that in Everquest. Doesn't sound very fun and if it is why didn't they do more of that?

Is it going to be the top end guilds doing the same thing in Everquest Next like they did in Everquest involving the sleeper or will low level characters be able to effect permanent change? I guess its a long ways off to ask that now.

Some good ideas,
Please keep it unpredictable and scary
Even in newbie zones dont keep every thing uniformed. Make it so you can die brutally if you wander into the wrong spot.

Are you talking about Everquest Next? This MMO is going to be worse than WoW as far as holding your hand. This will truly be Everquest on training wheels.
