Shadowbound, a free-to-play browser-based MMO developed by R2 Games, has begun its Open Beta stage.

Taking classic MMORPG gameplay, and combining it with new variants in skill progression and combat, Shadowbound puts players on a perilous journey through dark lands filled with conspiracy and intrigue. With the game's Open Beta doors opening, R2 Games assures players there will be no character wipes moving forward and that all fans – or those who are simply curious – should jump in and explore. Shadowbound features:

• Puzzle Dungeons - Tile-based challenges with multiple paths
• Companions - NPC allies who can level up and become outfitted with armor and equipment as they fight alongside you in battle
• Team Combat - Allowing you to strategically deploy your party in combat in order to increase its effectiveness
• Community - Community aspects to the game allow you to join or create a guild and take part in PvP
• Preview Content - Preview high-level content in order to plan out your build as you progress through the game

For every day you've logged into Shadowbound, you'll receive character boosts that help improve your stats or give you powerful gear for your character.
