SOE All-Access Program Update

The All-Access FAQ has been updated, new ETA April 23, 2014.

Today Linda "Brasse" Carlson, Director of Global Community Relations at Sony Online Entertainment, updated the SOE All Access FAQ.  This update changes the launch date to "on or about April 23rd." It also includes information about Dragon's Prophet, ProSiebenSat.1 Games customers, and clarification on the 10% Marketplace discount.

You can check out the updated FAQ on the Station Forums here. Updates are noted in purple.

So, I asked some questions of Community and the long and short of it is: If you do not cancel and do not let your subscription lapse, you're fine. If you have a locked in rate, you keep it and your account becomes all-access at that rate.

If you cancel or let your subscription/membership lapse, you lose your old rate.

Thank you Calthine, one more question, have not seen any mention of logging on to all these games we will now have access to. Will we be using same acct. name log on and pass words as we have now for present games (EQ for me) to access the other games?

Yes, your login name/pw for any SOE game is your SOE/EverQuest/etc account login.

I have 2 accounts on 2 year renewal (not offered anymore) and as I understand it they will become All Access till the day they expire, but at the renewal date will I still be able to renew at the rate I have been for past 8-10 years?

I get my borrowed news here on alla. SOE's website seems cold and forbearing. When I first heard of this, I did contact SOE support. Think of a large rock and what can't come from it. At the time, no one could truly promise anything that made perfect sense to me.

And so, SOE will have to wait and see how this business plan plays out.
Two weeks left as of 4/9/14... does that give me time to...

hiya,
Two of my Gold EQ1 accounts are paid up until about 5/2/14. With that supposed grandfather/servers down deal, I am paying just under $10.00/month per account (3-month renewal). Also, I don't have any intention of trying any other games...at this time. So, my big silly question is (and please don't post links SOE)...what will be in store for me come April 23rd, let alone 5/2/14?

Well, SOE probably isn't going to answer you here, lol. You're smart enough to have clicked through to the FAQ, so I assume you read this:

"Q: I am grandfathered in under a special legacy promotional program or locked-in rate and want to make sure I don’t lose my status! How do I find out how I am affected?
A: Our goal is to honor all special rates and programs for our players. Please contact Customer Service with any special concerns you may have! https://help.soe.com/"

I'd contact CS and link the FAQ at them and explain your situation in small words, and hold them to it.
