I use to play this game all the time. I honestly bought a bunch of the booster box sets too when the game was considered new. That cost a few hundred dollars. SoE screwed over everyone though. Not right away of course but they waited.

Later on as they released more and more packs they basically said FU to the people that bought all the early packs since you were no longer allowed to use them and actually forced into buying the newer ones. Oh sure you could play with the measly packs they give you for free each month but the people that had bought earlier packs were still screwed over.

I could have understood limiting what people could use against each other as it was only fair to balance it that way but stopping people from using every card they bought against the storyline was insane. I realized at that point i should never ever waist another dollar on that LoN game cause they were just going to ***** me over again and stop me from using what ever cards i purchased anyway.

So this seems to no longer be the case. You can use all the sets now in the scenario mode now.

The false marketing of LoN bothers me.

Does anyone really play it anymore? It wasn't exactly robust population when new.

To me it is just a prototype of the marketplace, that relies on the lottery/random gambler appetite to bleed you dry for that loot card you want.

Frankly I think they should give up the pretense and just put the stuff on marketplace direcctly.

I understand your concern, but that hasn't happened in, golly, ages and ages. I can't even remember the last time that happened. We no longer use automated ad services, for one thing :)

If you see a bad ad, you can report it here: BAD ADS - How to report them. We take them very, very seriously.

And of course for a small fee you can turn off the ads altogether.

My advice to you is -> Do not use the web at all and close your acct you use for access because what you fear can happen from ANY website you visit. Have a peaceful day.
