ZAM Ultros Linkshell InformationFollow

I have noticed that a majority of our group will be playing as either CNJ/WHM or ACN/SCH so I don't believe we will ever be needing a healer for anything... kinda concerned about the DPS and tanking portion though I could have added it wrong from what ive seen ill edit once im at home to see what the ratio is... I know this really isn't that big of an issue but nice to know as well in my eyes :)

Edit... *After reviewing the thread and seeing all whom actually posted there main class/jobs it isnt that bad of a spread all around...

We had a few full time crafters but with everyone saying they would be lvling some sort of craft i didnt pay to much attention.

I know there will be many more to join and actually there were many whom didnt include what they would like to be doing... But for those who are number people like myself i found it quiet neat to see what we do have.

This!!! ... I figure there will be a plethora of carby's running around in open beta, so i will most likely start out on ARC. I will have my own carby soon enough, but i'm thinking i will probably go the BRD route first.

Yes. .. yes he did. my only point was that i'll be doing something different. i like archer, and it is ranged dps whereas arcanist will not be ranged. At least, i don't think it is ranged. I know that not everyone will be doing arcanist to start, but there will prolly be a ton of them.

As far as I know it's open enrollment... no restrictions of any kind to join.

It's a linkshell to keep in touch with the folks from Zam... no matter what you go on to do in the game, whatever Free Company you join, etc...

Your friend should also be welcome. I could be wrong, in which case Bartel will hold me down while the rest of the guys beat me up like a Moogle Pinata... but that's a risk I'm prepared to take!

This will do just fine as we get started. After a week or two, I could even make a sticky for regularly scheduled linkshell events (something that wouldn't need to be updated very often).

The journal should be fine. I don't think we're going to need too much in terms of organization—maybe just a thread or two for gatherings. The more complicated stuff will probably be taken over by whatever free companies we join.

Anyway, thanks for letting us use your journal. It should come in handy for when people need help.

Most of us are right there with you, imo.

I used to be a hardcore player... now I'm going to be more semi-hardcore. We're all more limited with our playtime.

The good thing is that we semi-hardcore players still possess the patience, skill and other assets that allow the more hardcore players to succeed... only we're forced to be more laid back now. :D In other words, I envision this becoming a very productive and helpful linkshell in the long run.

Two things:

Wint, any chance we can get a sticky with the link to your journal, for people who arrive at the site and want to learn more about us? That way, we don't need to keep bumping this thread.


And also... I'm strongly considering a name change. My 1.0 character is Thayos Redblade, and he'll be living on Excalibur (at least until I can bring him to Ultros). I was going to play on Ultros in the meantime as Thayos Swiftblade, but the storyline nutcase in me is conflicted about creating two Thayoses that will have differing storylines (which may indirectly involve each other).

I'm trying to think of something really fun... I love the name Thayos, but for the sake of immersion, I'm thinking a new name might help me be at peace with not being able to carry on the story of my 1.0 character.

I'd love to join! :D
