Is this new for anyone else?
I'm getting a different loading screen instead of the "World is full" one and a 1016 error instead saying "The World Data could not be retrieved".
EDIT:
On the sub-reddit people are reporting they are getting DISCONNECTED from the GAME with this error, i.e. people who were logged in. So it might be a world server error/crash.

Lol, just posted this in the 1017 thread, got it myself for Excalibur.
I'm also trying to log into Excalibur, congratulations though! New errors abound!

I'm getting it from Excalibur too.
I'm still getting the typical "World is Full" for Ultros.
Meanwhile, I have a friend who is running around just fine on Carbuncle. She made a backup character over there to play while she waits until she can play on her Ultros character.
A great way to troll SE would be for everyone to make backup characters on all the other servers. :D

I know, right?! 1017 is so eight hours ago.
I get 1016 on Excalibur, but 1017 on a character I just created on another server.

Yeah, 2002 (lobby) again after a third attempt a minute ago. Time for a new architecture SE, this one ain't a'workin'. Let's move on.
I didn't get 1016 but I did get 2002....I guess I'm happy that its not 1017 but its all the same.
Tons of threads on other forums reporting people crashing out of game, so it appears they either took it down or at least Excalibur bombed.

I'm telling you, it's Excalibur's fault. We ate three servers back during the 1.0 merge and we're still hungry for more. XD
I went afk a bit, tried to log in - got queue 642 - then logging in - then error 90k.
So either it crashed and came back up and allowed to log in or something else happened.
Tried again: Queue 1447.

No longer get 1016 now get queue followed by 90000 error, three different errors within 30mins its getting good now.
rofl. Got another 90k - now 620 queue.

I've been joking around about it but this really is getting ridiculous. My head hurts. Thought I'd be able to get a lot of levels this weekend.

Got 112 in queue - and back to "world is full" again. :(
I just got on for 30 seconds, long enough to say hi to my ls, but I don't know if they said hi back...
Now back to error 1017 what a roller coaster ride!
