Mission OrdersCould the mysterious object the Cait Siths were discussing be related in any way to the medicine Sir Ragelise used to take? The answer lies with Amaura, a resident of present-day Southern San d'Oria. WalkthroughCollect the item that Lilisette requested of you in the previous mission and return to the lake. Trade the item to the Elegant Footprints and watch a cutscene. NOTE: A Cernunnos Bulb can be farmed before the mission starts, to prevent some backtracking between Southern San d'Oria and Jugner Forest (S). The item drops from Wandering Saplings found at (J-6) and (F-8) in Jugner Forest (S). The item is fairly common. Talk to Amaura in present day Southern San d'Oria at (G-6) for a cutscene. If you don't already have a Cernunnos Bulb, go to Jugner Forest (S) and kill the Wandering Saplings until a Cernunnos Bulb drops. If you already have a Cernunnos Bulb, you do not need to zone first before the next step. Once you have the Cernunnos Bulb, trade it to Amaura for a cutscene. Return to Jugner Forest (S) and trade the Cernunnos Bulb to the "Humus-rich Earth" at the Maiden's Spring at (E-6). Go to Jugner Forest in the present and check the "Humus-rich Earth" in the same spot to spawn Cernunnos, a Treant NM. Once Cernunnos is defeated, check the "Humus-rich Earth" one more time for a cutscene and to obtain a key item: Cernunnos Resin. Return to San d'Oria and talk to Amaura for a cutscene. Zone and wait one in-game day, then talk to her again. She will give you a Bottle of Treant Tonic and start the next mission. Battle NotesCernunnos uses stronger versions of all the standard Treant TP moves in addition to white magic and earth based black magic. It hits really hard, so standard practice is to brink a blink-tank. Anyone in the party who needs this mission will each have to have planted a bulb in the past. They will also each have to get the cut scene from checking the "Humus-rich Earth" prior to the NM being spawned. If a member who needs this mission checks the "Humus-rich Earth" for the first cut scene after the NM is defeated, it is possible to respawn the NM, so be careful.
