Lets look at this logically. Think of how much easier things would be to solo if this thing wasnt medicated. You realize why they added the rng distance factor right? they noticed that a rng's damage was proportional to his pocket book. That being said, if these didnt have the med effect, a kid could solo (imagine a thf with sleep bolts) for a while, sleep the mob, pop like 4 hi potions in 10 seconds, and keep fighting much much longer, all untill his pocketbook runs out. they keep this game as a test of skill, not a test of see who has the most money. this is intended to take up one slot in somones inventory, and when youre dying of poison, pop a hi potion. not so you can feel invincible, see how greedy and mischevious you guys got to thinknig when you thought it didnt have the effect? thats what they dont want.

if the medicated effect is like for ballista and its 5 min then its too long ... it should only be like a min or 2

I too am thoroughly dissapointed with this "addition" to Alchemy. I mean.. come on, is SE retarded? Is this their intended solution to our requests for stackable potions? Yeah sure.. they stack. Just hope you only need one every 5 minutes. Totally useless in situations like BCNM where you need a whole slew of these, not to mention you couldn't use these and other medicine items like Icarus Wings. Another good idea gone bad. Just like Platinum and Gold Bullets, these will go un-crafted, un-bought and un-used until SE removes the medication effect. I yearn for the day that Alchemy will actually get some useful synths added.
Dont be surprised..

Daggonit, I didn't realize these had a medicated effect.

I was seriously ready to burn through gil like crazy for that Concoction Alchemy Tool, but ***** it. I'd rather carry 1/3 of my inventory as Hi-Potions when needed that carry a stack of these worthless piles of junk.
stackable and medicated effect?

the reason these have a medicated effect and normal potions are not stackable is because you could have 60 potions on you in five inventory slots if u wanted to... or, assuming you had 60 slots from gobbiebag quests, and only 16 pieces of equipment, you could theoretically carry over 500 of these puppies, and without the medicated effect you could use them one after another...
so even if they only recovered 10 hp each you would be able to extend your hp value by 5000 (at a huge gil cost lol, but still)
what are they good for?

These are probably only good for emerginces and since its stackable albit more convient too for those tight inbetween the rock and tight place situation. If they made ether and elixer versions of these that would be nice too.

i really think they could do without the medicated effect... it's not like stackable potions/hipotions would drastically alter the game balance :-/

THANK you! I mean, come on. The decent ones cost a small fortune per unit, not to mention you need an Alchemy skill of 40 to make pissant Potions. You can stack bottles of Holy Water, you can stack bottles of Echo Drops, you can stack those wide jars of Venom Potions, but you can't stack regular Potions? It's sick, man...

As a player who doesn't normally like training in a group, resting is a major cog in the wheels; fight two or three monsters, rest for five minutes, fight two or three monsters, rest for five minutes...if I could actually use healing potions without clogging up half my free inventory space, I might be able to make some decent progress. They don't have to change their price, value, or crafting difficulty. Just let them stack.

*sigh* End rant.

Pretty sure he means the effect of it is like signet in the fact that it does not wear off when you die.
new potion drops suck
# Feb 22 2006 at 6:25 AM Rating: Good
these suck i thought they would own. a stackable potion to help soloing but i was wrong

when u use one u get a "Medicated" effect and cant use any other medicine til it wears off.. its stupid. it last like 15-20 mins and does NOT go away if u die like signet

these items suck and should be avoided. id rather be able to use 3-4 non stacking potions to save my life in a solo fight then only use one and die cause i cant use another for 20m
