NDA

Non-Disclosure Agreement

It is common practice to require all Beta testers of a new game or expansion to sign an NDA stating that they will not talk about the Beta with anyone that is not also a Beta tester. The purpose of this is two-fold. First, it helps to maintain anticipation of the title launch by not revealing too much too soon, and second it avoids damaging the publishers reputation by revealing just how bad things were along the way. Noone wants the general public to see a work in progress, they want you to see it when it is ready!
