Question about Titles :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

Alright, this is really beginning to aggravate me. I've been trying to figure out how to change the title of my character, but I can't find how to do this online anywhere. I'm assuming it's a npc, but no clue where to look. Speaking of titles, they're based off achievements, right? Anyways if anyone could explain, it would be very much appreciated.

is on the character screen, i think you have to select the profile tab, I'm not home so can't tell you exactly where it is but is a little arrow button by the name.

Thanks for the confirmation guys. I've looked in the profile tab before, but it never gave me anything. Now that I know where to go, I see why I have this issue. When I click on title, it says none. I'm not sure how many titles exist in the game, but I should have at least one. Do you have to acquire titles though a npc like the INN?

I know achivements give some of them, the one you can see on my Lodestone profile i got from getting PLD relic, I'm guessing there are more from other relics.

Yeah I think you only get them after completing the final tier of an achievement tree. Wint mentioned getting one for Fishing a little while back.

Thanks, I found this post very helpful. I never really examined the achievements before. I suppose it's because I felt my PS3 trophies were more important or something. lol I can see why I can't find my titles now. I'm on the Titan HM fight so I'm close to the relic one at least.

I heard around launch that there was a guy in Gridania that supposedly switched your titles and gave you the assoicated items, but I've never been there. This is helpful information. I will have to try the profiles screen when I get home.

Go to Apkallu Fall in Gridania, talk to the old man NPC, choose Share a Story.
