Question about multiple accounts.Follow

OK so looking at purchasing a second game account as a gift and covering the subscription fees. Obviously both can be linked to the same SE account with no trouble, and both logged in at the same time. The issue is, the second account user will be in a different physical location, and the SE account has a physical security token. Is there any way around this (other than person 2 calling person 1 every time they want to log in for the code), or will it just be easier all around to have a second SE account for the second game account?

There is no way around the token, the second person would have to call up for the code. Best to get a second account with it's own token.

Not sure why you would want both accounts under one "main" account, if you both are not in the same house hold (able to use the token).

Thanks for the feedback. In the end we chose to go with a seperate SE account. Now we've come up against a new problem instead. I knew the SE accounts were region specific, EU/NA, did not realise that the Registration Codes were also. Code purchased via digital download on Amazon in US, tried to apply to a EU account, does not work! Trying to see if we can get the code exchanged for one that will work via Support, but we may just have to chalk it up to bad luck.

If you set the account up and gave them the info (sign in a pw), wouldn't they be able to log in?
Only thing bad about this, as it seems it happened to a friend's friend: He set u and signed in on one ISP and then went to a friends house to log in (or a diff ISP) and SE flagged him and within an hour of creating the new account suspended it for "rmt" behavior. Seems a tad bit over cautious on SE's part.

You can't have two accounts under the same SE account that I know of.

You can, actually. You could for XI, too.

When you sign in to XIV it just asks you which account you want to log in with.
