you just don't like that even with my class i haven't failed like you want me to to make me "learn my lesson" god forbid someone should try to mix up game play a bit. oh no there's no way for that to happen when people like you think they are entitled to tell people what to do. no can't have that.

No. My issue is you QQing about being told off because you want the play the game your way while 3 OTHER PEOPLE had to suffer. You think you have done a bang up job because you all managed to gain EXP and clear the dungeon. YOU THINK THIS.
This game is set up to were the Tank takes the damage, the healer heals him/her, not this horsesh*t of an idea where everyone in the party is playing ALL roles at once.

its a f*cking game meant to be played for enjoyment, i play how i want to enjoy the game. i could careless how some "i know it all" A-hole wants me to play because they have little if any imagination on changing up the game play so someone can use the style they like best! like i said a Lancer can be a Tank if they wanted to, h3ll ANY class can be. just because the game forces Gladiators to carry the Tank role doesn't mean they have to be, just like a Lancer isn't forced not to be a Tank!

Ok... You are a total misinformed person. You can probably tank anything on any class at lvl 16. Hell, you can tank on LNC at lvl 20.
My question to you is.... Why the hell do you discount veteran information? Guess what.. A lvl 40 LNC isn't tanking sh%t. Hell, the tank isn't tanking sh$* w/o a good healer. Nobody is getting out alive in time if there isn't enough dmg being done. It's a group effort. If you can't play a role in a group.... this game isn't for you.

Everytime you get into a group, people are going to lose because you are (as another poster said) a special snowflake. ***** those people playing their roles. They only need the win right? They can get that from some other people who know what a MMO is. You can play however you want. I'm not sure what level you will reach before the hatred starts to really bother you, but you can do what you want. I won't tell you to leave the game anymore. You clearly have a hair up your ***. After reading through this thread, I felt it worthwhile to put my two cents into the bucket:
I've been able to get my healer to 45 and learned quickly how important is is to stick to your role within group settings. Besides fate parties I've really not had much opportunity to do any sort of nuking, while heal marathons for dungeons/bosses are becoming the primary objective. I have a fun time following dodging directions and making sure I heal appropriately throughout fights. While I do try to make sure I know what the strategy is before I party up, I've gained most of my experience by these 'know it alls' in my group who provide personal experience/tips to make me a better player. I've been lucky to have not run with groups that have broken down in disagreements, but when the time comes and someone does go with a different plan, you bet I will either ask them to play the right way or just beat it.

This game's predicated on working as a unit, so don't bring the rest of the group down for your own negligence.

They aren't telling you to get off the damn game. They're telling you to learn to play the damn game, so that the other people who are forced into parties with the oh-so-special unique player you are can then enjoy it too.

You are trying to play an mmo...with other people. It may seem wide open for you to do as you please, but in reality, once a game and it's roles are established there will be rules. Whether you like it or not.

No, YOU don't get it. At lvl 16, it's Easy. You can play how you want. At lvl 30 ... If you play like you are, you will be shunned. We are trying to help you, yet you keep on bashing us.

So... i will leave you with this thought. When ever you die a lot, you should wonder who is it that is supposed to keep you alive. Is that person playing without rules/roles? Are they having fun watching you die? What could you do to help?

Edit: I play MRD. MRD was a melee / backup tank in 1.0. I played healer in XI for 9 years. I really wanted MRD to be a DD, but it ended up being a tank. So, when i do dungeons..i TANK. Why? ..... Because that's what a MRD does. Also, i have a big axe.

Sigh.... I wasn't calling you slow (I am now since even the simplest things escape you). My point was that the first dungeons are extreme easy mode dungeons. They are designed to ease you into the duty finder and party dynamics so they take little to no effort to win.
