switching Grand Companies :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

So when I got to the point of choosing my GC I chose LL because that is where I'm from. Now doing the story I see that I like Uldah and I like the colors and they seem to fit DoMs more. Is there a way to switch Grand Companies in this game?

I think you'd have to talk to one of the GC officers in Ul'dah. Don't know offhand if it costs anything to switch.

I'll have to see when maintenance is done. Tried talking to everyone when I was doing the main story quest for them but didn't get anything. They should let you chose after doing all the story quest for them.

You get to switch grand company once you reach the second lieutenant rank (rank 9) of your current GC alliance
