Just wondering if i get better stats when my gear gets 100% spiritbond, or what exactly is the benefit out of it? I know only CERTAIN gear can be convert into materia, but, what other benefits can we get out of it?
Is is possible to sell gear with 100% spiritbond? i bought a 20k item a week ago, and i would like it to sell it now, but it seems that i just cant, due to its 100% spiritbond. Is there a way to recover the gil i spent when i bought that item? I just don't need it anymore.

Spiritbinding is all about materia conversion. Even items that can't be converted will spiritbind just because.
You can sell gear that's 100% bound, but a confirmation dialog will come up to make you confirm it, since you could also convert it to materia (which is almost always a better idea).

Actually they changed the rules in 2.0. You can only sell items (on the wards) that are UNBOUND!
This is important for people to remember. If you want to sell something on the ward, don't equip it.
If you buy something from the ward, you will want to make sure you can/will use it, because once you do, it's yours for life, and hopefully when you are done with it, you can create good materia from it.

That isn't really the case in this game as you'll get enough gear to get by through quests, guildleves, and dungeon drops. And this is really MUCH better for the durable goods market than FFXI's system of endless recycling was.

Make Materia, sell back, profit most of the time.
Linen crafting clothes ~ 1k-2k -> Materia Control/Craftmanship II ~ 6k-10k -> ???? -> Profit.

I think it's formally listed as level 19, but yes.
You also need to have leveled a DoH job up to 19ish to have access to it.
No, you don't need DoH/DoL to get the spiritbond quest.
You need one to get the Meld quest, and higher level DoH/DoL later to get Multi Meld quest.

wow, so, my only option right now is to convert my Erudite's Picatrix of Healing -with 3 materia melted on it- into materia? I paid 120k for it ; ; hopefully, i'll get something cool in return.
