Unused Onion Helm Code QuestionFollow

Hey guys,
I have an unused code for the Onion Helm left over from my 1.0 collector's.
Back in 1.0 I had planned to use it as a giveaway to LS members but when I heard about the 1.0 shutdown I put it away. When I cancelled my SE account I called customer support and the agent I spoke with advised me to hold on to the code as it would still be valid in 2.0.
Well no that 2.0 is here I've tried to activate it but I just get the error message that the code is invalid. I sent a support ticket to SE earlier this week but have yet to receive a reply, so I figured I'd ask the good citizens of ZAM for their input as to the issue.
Perhaps I was misinformed by the agent and the code needed to be active in 1.0 to be present in 2.0?
