PS3 screen goes darkFollow

During gameplay my screen will suddenly go dark. You can still see shadows of NPC's and other players and all the sounds still work. If I teleport, the screen returns only to happen again after a couple minutes. Is anyone else experiencing this or know of a resolution? I sent this question on the in game support but received no answer.

Check if your PS3 isnt getting too warm or is in a well ventilated place. Especially if you have roommates, make sure they didnt place anything directly next to the vent.

FFXIV is taking quite a bit of processing power, and your PS3 is going to run a little warmer while playing it. Especially since it's an MMO and you're most likely going to be gaming for several hours at a time.

It's most likely just overheating, not really anything to worry about. But no, i have not, and know of no one that, experienced this.
