PS3 and PC :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

Anyone figure out how to log in onto their account regardless of platform?

My friend has PS3, registered, can log in.

I have PC, but can't log in to his account.

XI wasn't like that, looking to see if anyone has figured out the difference yet.

Does he have to buy the PC version and register it too?

Is he now able to log in on his ps3? A group I play with use PS3s. One went over to a friends house to play side by side and be able to ask questions and what not. Different IP Addy and SE temp. suspended the account. He had to call them and give info to prove it was him.

You have to register a PS3 code as well as a PC code -- One code for each platform, unlike XI, which was one code to rule them all.

Yes, you now have to pay for access on different platforms. Really sucks!

Now, the test to time will be if PS3 users have to buy the PS4 game... At that time, if I have to, I will raise my fist in the air and shake it profusely in protest.... then proceed to shell out for that copy of the game..

lol, same here .. Now I own two collector editions of XIV (PC 1.0 and PS/3 ARR). Maybe PS/4 ARR Will be the third CE of XIV ? :)

It's a 3rd platform, you would have to buy the software I'm thinking... then again, the folks who made the move from PS2 to the PS3 might know a bit more about how that worked?

I'll probably end up having to purchase the PS4 copy and I'm okay with that -- I can't control SE's decision to charge again for the copy of the game. I don't like it, but then again, I can't change it.

Perhaps they'll offer a promotional price for those migrating form PS3 to PS4. Maybe an upgrade fee. And if anyone wants some sort of CE for PS4 they can then pay a full price for said edition. One can always hope.
