My girlfriend just entered her registration key and now she can't access her characters. It wouldn't let her put the code onto her apparent other account so now she has two. one has 14 days left for some reason and the other one has 30 days. i'm getting the brunt of crying rage and i would love to know what to do about this for her.
also, it wouldn't let her just enter the code it kept telling her that it was invalid and she had to upgrade her account for $20. i'm pretty positive she didn't pay for the game before whenever she played it but who knows.
i think she added a new service account.. who knows she was jsut clicking things.. man i love playing tech support when i'm not there to do it myself.

Need more information. Did she previously have an account during 1.0 version?
14 days is what is granted to players who bought 1.0 and 30 days is for new players.

I have no idea. she had a couple characters under level 8 on a legacy server when we started phase 3. she can't remember if she paid anything or not.. i wouldn't think so considering it sounds like she only played for a day or two.
Also if she had an 1.0 unregistered code that will give her 30 days again since technically she is a new player as well.
Sounds like she already had a 1.0 account and I'm assuming you've bought the game again for the same platform.
that's just it, she has nothing regarding ever actually buying 1.0. at most i can think of is that she got into a beta or free trial thing. she can't remember so who knows. i have a feeling i just wasted $50 on that CE though.
Well how can this be fixed? how can she play her current character which has her preorder items and actually get the CE items from the other apparent account? They could have at least given some information on the registration page about this.. I'm guessing we're @#%^ed and I'm out $50.

Didn't the 1.0 CE come with a code for a buddy to use that would essentially give them a copy as well? Maybe that's what she had.
Yeah her brother gave her a buddy pass and she played on his PC for a couple days.

I think someone in the game mentioned that if she sent in a ticket that they would swap the stuff over for her. thank god... i hate not being able to do anything for my lady. This whole beta/launch has taken a huge **** all over her and I don't think we could have handled that sort of cherry on top.

She made a separate service account. She has the 14 day one which is her original 1.0 version account, but she used the new copy you got to make a new account. She probably logged into the new account when she made it which explains why she can't see her old characters. Yeah, I'd think that as long as the info is the same there will be no issue applying the CE stuff to the old account.
Sound like you need to upgrade gf to 2.0! I kid, I kid

The buddy pass is exactly as if she bought 1.0. I don't know on PC but on PS3 they have made it very clear what account you are registering your code to. But the whole thing is a mess. Hate to say this but good luck with customer support because there is definitely nothing you can do on your own about this in the mog station.
