I hope they don't expect us to set up a subscription when we cannot even play reliably without leaving our computers on 24/7 to ensure we stay logged in.

If this carries over beyond tonight (and it certainly will), then SE will strongly need to consider postponing the start of subscriptions until this is fixed. You can't expect people to pay subscriptions for services they're unable to use.

I guess I'm torn right now. I love the game. I love the community. But i feel like I'm being taken. I dropped $80 or so on the PS3 CE version of a game I can't play. If this were any other PS3 game I would have already returned it. I know this is a "long haul" situation but I'm just wondering if his company is deserving of my dollars any more. I just don't understand how they have the cajones to put a big announcement out about official release with so few people able to enjoy it.

I guess it boils down to the fact that I'm really disappointed. I wonder if this the last straw for me...

The no queue is annoying, I agree. But I get why they're doing it. Today at least I'm not receiving errors, just world full. I'm just waiting for that time 2-4 weeks from now when it settles down. Half of me wants them to open more servers (just a couple). The other half of me remembers what SWTOR looked like 3 months after release.

The fact that they haven't added anymore servers yet is troubling do they expect the problem to just go away?

Exactly, and "play on a less populated realm" is not valid. I switched from Leviathan my intended realm in order to play with my friend who managed to join the only available realm of Diabolos. I'm not starting over a third time because Square Enix cannot get their servers under control. Limiting log in access to ensure that players logged in have a good experience is a poor business move. They are hoping a lot of people quit so they don't have to support that large of a population I guess. I've been ranting the last 2 days, but this is just ridiculous. I would rather be in a queue with 2000 players or more and know for a fact I can tab out and watch some Breaking Bad while my queue ticks down. Instead, I get to hit Start -> Enter World -> 1017 Error -> Start -> Etc.

Edit: I would like to add that I feel Square Enix is perfectly okay with this limiting log ins as it doesn't look like they are in a hurry to remedy the solution. We have received an apology, but talk is not sufficient at this stage, the game is not fairing so well which is sad because the game-play is amazing, the servers are terrible and that is what players will remember. I don't blame those who stay logged in, I would too if I could get on...

Well I give up for now. I've been trying for an hour straight. It's just not gonna happen until late late tonight, or early early in the morning. Real bummer.

It's a real shame we're still experiencing the same issues.

I guess I'll just stick with Neverwinter for the time being, until things get ironed out. :\

Yep this sucks for us but especially for SE. ARR has really been a turnaround from 1.0 and had (still does, for now) great potential to be MMO comeback of the decade, never done before. In beta, most of us were sold and impressed and ordered our preorders. We were excited, hyped, and got up in the middle of the night for early release. Its all turned into a train wreck though. If you play in primetime evenings, you can't get in. At all, unless its luck. A lot of us will stick with it, but many won't. I'll be here, but I want to see lively servers and community. Not dying servers and angry players.
