Maybe they need more time to get their subscription services in place?
It's been that way all along to give a grace period to people that get their retail copies late.
my understanding is that this is the grace period to enter you code from the physical copy. Basically if you do not receive you disk and enter your code by 8/30/13 you will not be able to play.
I think they said 29th in the previous emails too. My brother's email said 29th.
I think the idea is you get "early access" up to the 29th in case your game code doesn't arrive right on the 27th. A grace period to play after official release with your EA codes.
