I think you can preorder until the game is released on the 27th. my friend just preordered on Amazon last night and got his early access code right away.

Yes, that's what I did. Just make sure you login using your 1.0 account

When I log in my 1.0 account, It says code registration isn't available yet

Also, Do I lose my 1.0 CE if I pre-order standard ARR? :S

Nope. The Pre-Order code is a generic code used for PC Standard and Collectors as well as PS3 Standard and Collectors. Digital Download or Physical copy.

You're never going to input the game code onto your account so nothing will change there.

What you might want to do is see if someone will paypal you 10 bucks for your game code...you won't need it anyway...

If you have 1.0 and pre-order 2.0 CE or SE, you will get early access.

You don't register it there.

No, because i have 1.0 CE and also pre-ordered the 2.0 SE for EA and i got both.

Posted this one another post, hopefully it will help you with any more questions.

If you pre-order SE/CE 2.0, you should get a email from SE.
The code should look like this: "Serial Number/Product Code: BAPEYE-195-NOJELU-813"

place that code here:
http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/

after you put in your product code from the email you should GET ANOTHER CODE, copy it then select one of these options:

If you click the blue "here" link, you should see this next:

Sign into your account and then you should get this:

Enter your code and this should pop up (CE):
