Help with sub jobs for blm :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

Im currently using blm as my main job, but im really confused, which other jobs should i level for my blm? A friend told me that i need to level archer, is he correct? What are the best abilities for blm to set in my ******** Whm's? Acn's? Max slots for those abilities are 3, right?

I believe you get to use ARC and PUG cross skills? You'll need to level PUG to15 though, not ARC.

Looks like Archer & Arcanist

Archer
Raging Strikes - Increases damage dealt
Hawk's Eye - Increases DEX and physical accuracy
Quelling Strikes - Reduces enmity generated by each attack.

Arcanist
Ruin - Deals unaspected damage with a potency of 80
Physick - Restores target's HP.
Virus - Reduces target's STR, DEX, INT, & MND
Eye for an Eye - Erects a magicked barrier around a single party member or pet.

That's great, thx! But why would I want "Hawk's Eye"? if it Increases DEX and physical accuracy? Dex and physical accuracy exactly in what improves blm skills? Interesting

I don't think you would. Unless I'm also misunderstanding something about the attributes. I was just giving you a list of your options. I'd think Raging Strikes, Quelling Strikes, Virus, & Physick would be the top choices.
