P4 Client and EA ClientFollow

#1 Aug 21 2013 at 4:41 PM Rating: Decent
I finally got through. Downloading the EA Client on my PS3 as we speak.

Should I keep my P4 client on my hard-drive just incase?

Thanks in advance.

I think the P4 client only converts to the full-game client on PC only.

If you're downloading the full-game client right now, I don't see much reason behind keeping the P4 one. You never know with SE, though.

Yea - I'm going to keep it just incase.

I preordered the disc from GameStop. So what happens on the 27th? Does my downloaded client stop working? I assume once I pick-up the disc from GameStop I can remove all Beta and EA clients from my PS3 Hard-Drive, correct?

Thanks for your help.

It's a MMO, it requires an HDD install to work due to it changing all the time. Other than the code you'll get in your booklet, you can toss the rest away. The disk will be worthless the first major patch that hits (if it's not outdated already)

I would hold on to the disk, just in case.

Never know when you'll need to protect that woodwork from an ice cold drink.

I'm not bothering with the PS3 version because from my experience in the beta it was an inferior gaming experience. The lower framerate of consoles as well as the lower graphical capability really hindered my experience, seeing other players' choppy animations n' everything, it just really took me out of it :( I ended up completely uninstalling the beta version from it.

I've always wanted to play on a PC, but I just don't have the means. Plus, there's nothing better than playing in the comfort of my living room on my nice TV. I understand that the PS3 has limitations, but I can live with them if it means playing in my living room (or even in my bed).

I'm hoping that the PS4 will enhance my experience. Speaking of which, what are the expectations with regard to ARR on the PS4?
