The development team realizes that this is a severe bug and will be making sure they pay more attention to these things moving forward.
With that said, for the official release version we will be fixing this bug and making it so you are invincible while watching cutscenes so they will no longer be cancelled.

Quick! Give that tank a cutscene!
It took me 10 attempts to finish this silly little annoying quest. So I'm really glad they are fixing this!
I ended up having to skip the cs because there were half a dozen arcanists doing that quest

Id be exploiting the **** out of that!
There's a similar one with slugs for CNJ or a quest in gridania. Theres no cutscene but it was a mess with all that stuff in one spot
