I started my character on Gilgamesh because I love Gilgamesh from all the FF games. But after reading through ZAM and seeing how cool the community is, and how many from ZAM will be on Ultros along with the LS and FC, is it worth it to start a fresh character on Ultros and forget about my Gilgamesh character. I only got to level 18 on lancer and got to level 6 on pug and glad. I also picked up all the professions and classes, but did not level. Not too much, so I think the loss would be minimal. Any thoughts on this?
On a side note, I was really looking forward to playing Dragoon, but after seeing how tank starved the game is at the moment, would rolling Pally reap huge benefits in leveling speed and grouping opportunities? Pally was my second choice BTW. Thanks for your time!

Well I don't think anyone can make that decision but you, friend. I'm sure once the FC gets up and running, there would definitely be an open spot for you.
As for my opinion, I'd say that if you don't have anything keeping you on Gilgamesh (friends or any former obligations), and you want to play with the ZAM community, why not make the move and just catch up during EA? The more the merrier.

Yeah come on by, any progress from Beta Phase 4 will easily be made up in a matter of a day or two after launch. The community is great!

To be honest I had Lancer to 20 after one day of play in P4.
I got Pug to 18 the next day. If you are taking part in early access it won't be hard for you get back in place.
Of course going back to what Teracide said. If you have friends or other obligations on Gilgamesh I'd weigh those heavily (personally speaking of course).

Excellent, just from those comments I can tell Ultros is the server I want to be on. I have heard good things about this community and I am looking forward to becoming a part of it. Thanks for the replies! :) I think I will be rolling Paladin by the way, so hopefully some of us can group together!
We'll be glad to have ya. The community truly is awesome and it will be great to have so many people to pull from for events or just to run random dungeons or primal battles with.

I'm glad I joined Ultros. I certainly would have been left in the dark if I had not.
Gilgamesh is the "unofficial" reddit server, so that might be an incentive to leave.
