Hi, how to save progress on PS3? are there any save points or it saves automatically?

When you get through the tutorial mission (the one where you register for the adventurer's guild) and get your reward, you suddently spawn back out into the building and see other online players. At that stage you can press start, go to the option at the far right, and there is a dropdown to "Log Off". Upon logging off it will save your progress and bring you back out to the main welcome screen. You can press the middle button on your controller to quit the game at that point.

It saves automatically to the Server you are playing on.

Yeah it does save something to the system as well that has to do with your character data but I have just selected quit game from the XMB and was able to start again right where I left off. It might be that the two sync up every few seconds or something?

Possibly. I like to play it safe just in case.

Any time
It's an MMO -- everything significant that you do is constantly saved to the server. The "saving" you do when you log out properly is just for little client-side things that the server doesn't keep track of.
