What should I do? Registration CodesFollow

Hey there, I bought FFXIV CE when it was first released. Didn't like the game and tossed it (And the registration code) out after a few weeks of playing it.

I am really excited to play ARR and I know that the 1.0 CE on my account automatically upgrades into ARR CE and I am good to go as far as playing the game. I have pre-ordered ARR CE anyways for the physical items.

I however don't like the idea of not possessing the 1.0 CE registration code should I need it to verify my account for whatever reason (In the event of a hack, new security, whatever reason).

Anxiety has been eating away at me the past few days, I emailed SE several days ago (Though their support has been less than stellar) in an attempt to retrieve my old registration code just for safe keeping. No reply from them yet.

Am I working myself up too much over this and have nothing to worry about, or should I create a new SE account and just use my new ARR CE registration code when it comes?
