Credit card required? :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

First off, apologies if this has already been answered but I've been searching all over the internet with no definitive answer.

My question is thus: I plan to use timecards as I don't like to enter my credit card information online. Will I be able to play FF XIV without EVER entering my credit card and just solely using timecards?

I know you can purchase time with Crysta.

What I'm not sure about is if they will still allow Ultimate Game Card to get you Crysta to pay for game time still.

Several friends of mine who still play XI use those exact cards to add time to their accounts. I'd guess they'll keep it that way since the payment methods for XI and XIV are shared.
