Will this have any negative effect on my account? So my friend gave me a beta code so i registered it, but then today i got an email with the code that stated i did not have a beta account, which to my surprise i did but email said i didnt? so it gaveme a code and i registered it too thinking something went wrong before. Now i checked and i see i have 2 service accounts

If i click cancel service on 1, will it go into that cancel service category below and stay there forever? sorry im pretty new to square enix games so this is somewhat confusing me

Having 2 service accounts will do nothing to your account. Play on which ever one you want for the duration of Phase 4.
When it comes 8/27 if you want to continue using either or you will need to set up a payment option.
Which ever one you don't set up will go inactive until the time you see fit to activate it.

Edit: spacing

Hmm I have similar thing, 2 accounts, from phases. The thing is I also have preordered the game, but this thing isn't really shown in the account setup page, although it does show in square purchases list. Now I am just wondering which service account should I play with that I can use after phase 4.

I'm sure that beta service accounts will be removed once phase 4 is over. That'll leave you with no service account, or one service account if you had bought the 1.0 game. I'm in the same boat as you, I ended up with two service accounts. The first one has 1.0 CE on it as well as ARR Beta, and the second one only has ARR beta. I expect the second one will vanish after phase 4.

Nope, they're out there forever tied to your SE account. Smiley: smile

My original Beta test option is still out there. Why do you have two service accounts?

I registered for the beta on several e-mail addresses. The first set of codes I received didn't work on PS3. It's because SE issued US codes for Canadians, and they didn't work on the PSN store. I didn't know that, of course, so I tried another set of codes I received because I didn't understand what I was doing. In short, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Smiley: lol

It's a bit odd that the extra beta service account won't disappear. I could have sworn I saw a dev post stating that they will, but I can't find it. Probably because I hallucinated it, and it doesn't exist. I suppose that cancelling the second service account will prevent the annoying pop-up to select a service account after every login so no big deal.

A while back I accidentally re-registered for beta on the EU site. Go figure, my first beta invite was for EU. The code was locked out of my NA account so there I went on a knee jerk reaction spasm. In fear of not receiving an invite for NA I began to create a life for myself in Ayr, Scotland ( if any Ayr, Scottish out there have a drink for me). This resulted in a brand new Email. A brand new SE account and a brand new "EU" psn account. Of course as these these tend to do, after I fully download the game onto my ps3 and create my first avi, my NA invite pops.

This is why, at least for me, I now have two accounts.

Alas, FFXIV: ARR. We will always have Scotland!
