Apparently there was an issue on SquareEnix's part where they named several of the files in japanese characters, so Windows does not recognize them and so doesn't open the theme... you need to use winrar or winzip to open it and extract the pictures and other files... Sweet... just finished moving houses and building my new game room for this marvelous game ;P it was due time for some ffxiv themes for PC and PS3 makes my GR that much better ;)
Can't get the windows theme pack to work. Double-click and nothing.

Man same here.. not working for me either.. dunno what the deal is.. if I go to the windows website and DL a theme from there, upon openeing it it automatically uploads to my current theme. But not so with the link from the FFXIV site..

I have downloaded it too, but Windows 7 is not installing it automatically and I can't figure it out yet either... if I do figure it out I'll post the answer here...
In the meantime I'm going to download the PS3 version when I get home.
These are pretty tight, im still useing the back rounds they made for smart phones! love me some FFXIV!

Downloading directly to the PS3 requires visiting the PS website on the browser. I can't seem to find the themes anywhere on there.

Regarding the PS3 theme pack once you go via the PS3 browser to the site and download the theme pack from the crossbar go to:
Settings -> Theme settings -> Theme
You should see a new theme titled Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn apply and viola!
May have to tone down the brightness via settings. One of the themes (characters riding chocobos) is a little to bright if your PS3 is set to default display settings.
