So that's what the other Carbuncle looks like. I think that just leaves the summon versions of Ramuh and Garuda unknown. Hopefully Shiva, Siren, and Leviathan get to be pets later on, too. Thanks for posting this.

Awww, too cute. Now I'm so confused what class to start with. Sigh.

I didn't know they come in two colors. Do the different colors signify anything?

Going by this thread, one will be a mage and the other a “guardian.” With that in mind, the two should have different abilities.

Maybe if you crossbreed a Pikachu with an Eevee or a Vulpix, a Carbuncle hatches?

I'm trying to resist the urge to ask why Emerald Carbuncle is blue and not green... Because I'm better than that Smiley: clown

I'm not generally a big fan of pet classes, but I'm curious to see what this one can do. Also, no matter the color, Carbuncle is adorable.

The Carbuncles look great, the Topaz one is the tanking one?

Also: In before Killua125 comes in and says it's a ripped FFXI model.

Carbuncle has always reminded me of Ryo-Ohki from Tenchi Muyo!

Really, how could anyone not like Cabbits?

Screenshot

The coolest thing about Ryo-Ohki is that she is a spaceship.

I like the emerald Carbuncle the best at least i might like this summon. In FF11 i was told how stupid it was to let him out and how dangerous he is. I kept waiting for him to turn on me.Smiley: smile

So what happens when he charges an ability and the mob runs out of range?
#19REDACTED, Posted: Jul 24 2013 at 7:07 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not only is it an FFXI rip, it looks hideous, the textures are flat and lifeless, and that is the worst recolor ever.

Are you this butthurt all the time Killua?

#21REDACTED, Posted: Jul 24 2013 at 7:14 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) They managed to make it look WORSE than FFXI on the PS2. That Carbuncle belongs on a Nintendo DS.

Since it seems like Emerald will have magic, it would make sense for Topaz to have physical abilities. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Topaz carrying some defensive buffs as well. Whether or not it will actually be able to tank, I have no idea.

By the way, the second part of your post is amazing.

Yes, yes he is.

Genetically predisposed cynicism. Like the South Park episode where everything coming in looks or sounds like crap. You can't blame him. His DNA makes him hard wired for unhappiness. It's a familial incapacity for joy.

I should know....my ex-wife had it.....no cure sadly lol

So, right, We all need to gather around Killua after launch and summon our Carbuncles round him, dance, and jump profusely.

After a while our happiness and joviality will finally break him and he'll be happy... or he'll go into a homicidal rage. Either way problem solved.

I don't remember if Carbuncle was in FFIII or IV remake for DS but he looked damn spiffy in Revenant Wings.
