Another Questions about pre-order access and 1.0Follow

I bought the collections edition for the PS3 thinking it was just myself who would be playing. Later on down the line my wife got hooked and also wants to play.

I bought and played the 1.0 FFXIV and was wondering if:

1. I could use my collections edition registration code to get my wife up and started while still being able to play the game myself without having to buy another FFXIV disk.
2. Be able to use the special add-ons like the mount and Barding on my own character… if my wife uses the registration code herself from the collectors edition

We both would be playing from a PC and the PS3.

Sorry if this had been asked already. I just get confused on Legacy players getting to download the the game free of charge and what I do need to purchase to get my wife and I up and started. That and I want really bad to keep my Coeurl Mount if possible.

No to the special add ons, as you will need two IDs to play at the same time. They will be hers.

But why don't you just have her use the new one, and you use the old one? Old CE's get all the new CE's items, plus the old stuff, afaik.

At least I think I understood this right.

You bought the NEW ps3 CE, and also had the old one from back in the day.

Edit: Unless I misunderstood and you only have the original CE... in that case no, you will need to buy her her own version of the game. Unless you don't want to play at the same time. But I'd imagine that you do.

Sorry if I didn't write that part in. The collectors edition I got is for ARR... the new new one.

If you bought the game before you already own 2.0 if that helps. If you bought the 1.0 CE you get those items AND the 2.0 items.
