Transfer and beta and... stuffFollow

I bet there are thousands of these post already but here I go making yet another one!

I played XIV for like... the first 2-3 weeks after release and was not satisfied and left.

Now i hear they're making it awesome or something and I AM a sucker for the old final fantasys so im gonna give this ARR a shot! :D

I successfully found my old account and my old little character :)

I found this page: http://frontier.ffxiv.com/worldTransfer/en/index.html
and chose Sargatanas (it sounded cool, is this server alright?) and clicked "Submit Application".

The transfer application seems to have a deadline tomorrow... Am I safe now? Will I be able to play ARR?
I saw somewhere that "version 1.0" players would be able to beta-test ARR but i can't seem to find a link to download or anything >_< could anyone help me with that?
