Splitting the Chat LogFollow

The easy way to do this on PS3 with the controller is to press select until the chat log is highlighted. There should be a few small grey and white buttons to the right hand side next to where it says "General, Battle, Event". One looks like a cog wheel (*) IIRC (at work now) and the other is a plus sign (+). One of those two little buttons will allow you to create a new tab and call it whatever you want.

If you just want to play with the filters in each chat tab, that is in the options menus somewhere.

I have no doubt that I'm just dense, but I still can't get it to work. I can enter mouse mode just fine. I can even expand the entire chat box. If I Mouse 1 on the General tab, I can drag the box around. What I can't do is create an additional chat box like I've seen in some screenshots. I can create new tabs, but they stay within the current chat box.

My ultimate goal here is to stack the two chat boxes. I'd make one for battle info and the other for communication. I'm quite technically challenged, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm just a moron here and I'm missing something obvious. All the same though, I'd appreciate it if anyone would try explaining it to me one time. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for trying. When I click to drag any other tab except General, it won't let me. I appreciate the help. I'll just make do.
