Sibyl's Secret Service - Enlisting Adventurers!Follow

#1 Jul 08 2013 at 7:09 PM Rating: Good
Sibyl's Secret Service is part of a larger gaming community that's been around for 16 years (, DJO). We played FFXI a while back and we're getting back together for ARR on Ultros.

We use a military structure for organizational purposes, and we use a site ranking and award system to recognize efforts, contributions, and roles within the group. Aside from that, we're very chill. We've been around long enough to know that life comes first: kids and spouses and bosses just don't understand the importance of gaming, and we (reluctantly) accept that. We'll never ask you to drop everything for a raid... but you'll always get the invite. :)

Feel free to visit us at

If you have any questions, leave a message on our forums, or feel free to drop me a PM. :)

I've been with DJO for over 12 years, certainly a good community to stick with :)

The FFXI Linkshell went on for over 5 years as well, stability is a nice thing to have especially in FFXIV where the Free Companies themself can level up.

Come on over, we don't bite, I promise :) Well, maybe some of the Lalafell's do... you have to watch out for those little buggers!

Update: SSS is up to nearly 30 members and many of us are in for this weekend's Beta. Expecting to be there? Get in touch either via the links above or PM me and we'll get you introduced to the group! :)

To answer a question that has come up a few times: yes, we use voice chat. As part of our association with DJO, we've got a 45-slot TS3 server available to us. :)

Update: we'll be aligning ourselves with Gridania and the Order of the Twin Adder.

"We did take into account many considerations in this decision, but ultimately it largely turned on what was most true to the heritage of the guild. SSS has a five-year history of being aligned with Windurst, a green, woodsy nation led by a mystic. Both in philosophy and imagery, it is the natural evolution. Since approximately 50% of our commitments so far are from returning legacy members, and we aren't starting this show from scratch, it makes sense."

... but if you were hoping to ally your character with another Grand Company, you're still welcome to do so. :)

Keep us in mind if you're still on the look-out for a Free Company for Open Beta and Launch, and feel free to visit us any time:

Progress continues with the site and the FC. New Officers have been established to help keep the growing population organized. Preliminary demographics have been extrapolated based on what our members have expressed as being their intended primary class:

22% Tanks
22% Heals
56% DPS

... A pretty solid split. We won't be short on any particular role, so whatever you're interested in playing, we'll probably be able to find a place for you on the roster.

PM me if you have questions. :)

We're up over the 60 member mark and despite the many server issues during Phase 4, we regularly had a dozen people on at a time and we had a blast! The TeamSpeak server was rockin and the site has been swarming with activity lately with upwards of 50 new posts/day.

If you want to roll with a great group on the Ultros server, you're more than welcome to join us: ... Feel free to visit any time, and if you have questions, you're welcome to PM me. :)

Despite the population cap issues that everyone has been experiencing, we've got a couple dozen members into the FC already. We're up to a L4 FC, closing in on L5.

It's never too late to join the ranks! PM me with questions, or just hit the site and introduce yourself. :)

The FC is up to Level 5 now and with login issues being (mostly) resolved, things are looking great. Over 4 dozen members are in the FC at this point with a couple dozen more on the list to get in as we catch up with everyone over the next few days.

... you could be one of them! Visit us at any time to get started with us. :)
