Sooo any word on any new body modification for FFXIV ??? As in will there be more than just one body type, skinny, muscular etc for each race and gender ? I know there is a minimal breast slider but was interested in whether or not characters could be fatter or more muscular. For example is the only way to play as a muscular female or male to play as the Roegaydn, or can I make a muscular Hyur or Elezen ? Or overweight/obese/skinnier etc., or are they all basically locked to one type ?

Played around with the character editor a little when I got bored last test and noticed that at least a few races have a "muscle tone" slider. Didn't bother with it much to notice how much of a difference it would make or if it would even show through most armor though.

The muscle slider just makes the skin smooth or muscly, but not fat. The height slider doesn't really do much either... but that's okay, I'm still happy with the character I created.

I read through the list of player proposed changes/tweaks/additions and what SE planned for each and from what I've gathered there will be no new body/face/skin colors/anything fleshy in the character creator. They mentioned that it had something to do with the game engine and stability/streamlining. There will however be new hairstyles, and face paints at/after launch. They are going to add a "barber" in game so players will be able to change their hair/face paint/possibly a couple other small effects whenever they want. So don't be too worried that they are going to come out with a better hairstyle for your character at launch even though you've been playing it through open beta/early relase.
