Just a couple questions I have after playing the beta, will make it short and sweet.
1. Which grand company provides the best gear for a melee DD class?
2. It has been stated before about the PS3 UI being so big it takes over the screen, has anything been stated about correcting this or is it working as intended? Maybe a simple solution like being able to adjust the size of each UI section so it doesn't take up as much space.
3. When using the map with PS3 as soon as you move the map goes transparent and you cant do anything but look at it, is there a way to use the map while on auto run or do you have to stop and close the map and reopen it to use it again?

1. All grand companies are the same when it comes to providing gear to players.

3. You could always zoom out on your map in order to get a look at the whole zone.

If you make a hotkey for map you can open and close map while auto running
I'm pretty sure pressing select opens the map up without having to closing. Can't remember exactly.

Thank you for the information. To be a little bit more clear with question 2 its not an issue with the resolution on my tv screen itself just that the size of the actual UI is just way to big. ATM I don't believe there is a way to re-size it but I know its been brought up before as an issue with some people, as of now when you are on PS3 and you go to use abilities and press the L2/R2 button it highlights the action bar (hot keys i believe is the PS3 term but not 100% sure) menu and has the names of the abilities right above it which ends up taking up 1/3 of your screen across the bottom. I don't know about some people but I personally don't need my
action bars to take up that much space on my screen, but if this is working as intended then I will adjust. Would be nice to have some sort of option to reduce its size so it doesn't look so big tho.
Also with grand companies if all the gear is the same what is the difference when picking your company? Other then story related.

To be a little more specific in what I am asking, I am aware that I can open and close the map while auto running but what I was asking is there a way to interact with the map while auto-running like zooming in and out, going to other zones, ect. As it stands now on PS3 that I know of as soon as you start moving the map goes transparent and you can see it but not interact with it you have to stop moving and close then open the map again to interact with it.

I pluged in a mouse and resized what could be resized.
Market Board - resized and moved to middle
Map - moved up and resized to very large. It helps me
Chat - moved up and to the right a little to see the bottom part. It does however cover the UI
Quests- can't move
Duty = can't move

You answered you own question with that one. It's story related.
I see what your talking about now and understand. Sadly the only HUD you can control the size of is the chat box (on pc that I see). I for one would love to resize my hotbars and such so I can set up my UI the way I want it but atm we can't. Here's hoping either they add that option in or when we can actually develop addons for this the developers can do it. Not sure how thats going to work yet because PS3 players won't be able to use them?
What size screen do you use to play on? Only suggestion is try to play with the resolution to see if it helps.

I thought I heard this game is in 720p resolution for Beta but going to 1080p for official release which might alleviate the HUD bulk?
As for the map on PS3 not much you can do AFAIK as it goes transparent as soon as you move your character. I resize mine to fullscreen and run with it on as needed.
