It's a Wonderful Live
May 31, 2013

Fernehalwes here.

Kudos to all those hard-core fans outside of Japan who woke up ridiculously early (or stayed up ridiculously late) to catch the 7th Producer Letter Live. For those who missed it, here's the video we ran showcasing the various new job actions:

Project Manager M has made it quite clear that she'll be choosing monk once the game launches. Me? I'll be waiting for wrstwbuch&yjn%ceki#@urfoldm&ierfeiariuferru... Ahem.

Does that gobbledygook at the bottom mean another job is coming and someone muffled him when he tried to say it?

That's what they were going for. I didn't check the times but it could have been in reference to Scholar. Or with about three months away til launch, we could be getting another class after all.

Does anyone have an idea of what that last spell the WHM casts in the trailer is?

I'm guessing it was Holy. Whatever it was though, it was freaking badass.

As pertaining to DRG:
You can use jump to get close, leg sweep to stun, and then run behind them and attack with a multitude of abilities.

This sounds a lot like using kidney shot or gouge on Rogue in WoW to get behind the enemy for backstab and expertise bonus. I wonder if DRG will get a "shadow step" type jump that automatically places you behind the target. Perhaps they should save such an ability for NIN or THF.

That music was badass. Also like how the monk's punches looked like they had some impact to them.
