From the recent blog post and comments on the FF XIV facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10151596159585871&set=a.10150953400150871.483488.116214575870&type=1&theater, will there be voice overs in every cutscene and quest dialogue? I haven't played 1.0 before but I watched videos to catch up on on the story of the game and noticed most talking scenes were without voice audio.

I doubt it'd be every dialog as that would most likely be a massively expensive undertaking, especially when you consider how ... verbose ... most Final Fantasy games are.
But it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for cutscenes to be voiced, assuming it could be done competently.

I am sure it is just voice overs for the new trailers. It's a little late to decide to add voices to the entire game. I wouldn't be shocked for Big CS's but beyond that, I'm sure we're looking at traditional FF bubble speech.

Yoshi confirmed voice overs however they will be primarily on main scenario elements not every quest/sidequest in the game.

Yea i doubt there will be a lot. As far as i know only SWTOR managed that right?

Yeah they did that really well actually... that and the story.

I'm glad they chose to only voice the main scenario personally. It sets the main course apart from the appetizers. They can create more content at quicker paces. Lastly, anyone who is not a true fan of Final Fantasy. Commonly says that FF of late are more like movies than actual games.

I can confirm this, I read it on a JP website as well ^^ The Main Scenarios will indeed include voiceover ^^
