So lets talk about this mask, can we?Follow

I am talking about the one they have in the new video, HERE.

Starting at 6:15 to 6:39, moving forward, you can see all our friends wearing one. One on the Chest, Head, Chest, and Arm. So, what are they?

For our purpose, if someone can blow up the, perfect, image found at 6:35, as he stands, you can get an awesome look at it. There appears to be a clock, maybe a timer. There are two sets of eyes, maybe one for the "mask" effect and one to actually look through. It appears to actually be hooked onto them, so it is used frequently for something. The top eye holes look like goggles, perhaps an "eye of truth" of a sort?

Could this be a Legacy and or Transfer Character (one who was active before the final save) item only? Perhaps it plays into viewing events of the past during special cut scenes, either as a Main Mission, or a history side quest set? Like "An Explorer's Footsteps," in FFXI?

I don't know but there is a purpose for those things even it its just an item the twelve gave us as we emerged from our slumber, just a gift or quest item?

Anyone care to have a conversation about this?
