Good afternoon!
Fernehalwes here in one of the FINAL FANTASY XIV meeting rooms, taking a break after a long session with the P about cutscene dialogue windows, angry treants, and homemade hot-sauce.

And, well, all that constructive dialogue got me wondering: do we have meetings because we are busy, or are we busy because we have meetings? The answer to this question may elude us for eternity, but with a view like this......wait, what was it I was talking about again?

Ah right! The walls!
It’s difficult to tell from the picture above, but almost every single wall in the team’s workspace, including those in the meeting rooms, are dry-erase whiteboards, so people can jot down ideas anywhere and everywhere they like--a kindergartner's dream realized by middle-aged game creators, who, when you think about it, are all still kids at heart.

Albeit some mind-boggingly talented kids...

Note: This is a work in progress, and by the evening will probably have Dragon Quest slimes, ascii cats, and piles of doggie doo scribbled all over it.

Piles of doggie doo? These are the people we're trusting with a second chance at FFXIV? Smiley: dubious

Am I the only one who thinks these blogs are incredibly boring? I keep checking in to see if theres new information about ffxiv that may get me excited about playing it again but so far its nothing but boring drawings, office pictures and Yoshi doing random stuff.

I like to see the behind the scenes looks myself. The next one is pretty good I thought.

Wint, you seem to be in the know-how around here, any word as to when we will see more information/videos? A couple weeks back they were teasing us with some and now I havent seen anything since. I bought the game at launch and am therefore very critical about it but I really hope it succeeds because I know XI wont be around forever and I believe, if they take the right paths, this game could evolve into something great 2-3 years down the road, after the 2.0 fixes and alot of content is added (imo). But like I said, I was really let down 2 years ago so I remain cynical..

I don't know much more than you to be honest, I just follow things pretty closely. Anyone in the alpha or beta (whenever that starts) won't be able to say anything either. I expect that we will start seeing more info once the beta starts. They started releasing official Alpha videos after the alpha started, I would expect the same thing for the Beta. The developer's blog has indicated they will be updating faster as well, and later tonight I will be posting my official forum threads post, and one of those that I picked has a message from Yoshi P about the dissemination of information.
