Hey guys, just wanted to plug my linkshell quickly since Mysidia forums are finally up and FFXIV is upon us =D

Blades Of Valor
Open House - 10/8

Previous Server: Valefor
Planned Server: Mysidia

Leader: Serge Luminaire
Main Timezone: US Eastern - US Pacific

Blades Of Valor is all about a friendly community coming together to create memories. We first started back on the NA release of FFXI and have always stuck together through the many years of FFXI. We don't care about experience in previous MMO's or Linkshells, we are just looking for friendly mature people that just like to hang out and talk while taking in all content from the MMO World. We want to be a tight knit community where everyone knows each other and are willing to help each other out. We tackle all content, including endgame "bosses" but we play a more "casual active" style. What I mean by this is that we are very active players and organize endgame events but it will most likely be once a week and it won't be so strict. There is no penalty for not attending but acting as a social community linkshell, we hope that you would join in the event if online. We do not want to try to be the best linkshell there ever was; we want to be what we want to be, a group of friends working together to achieve, progress and experience everything FFXIV has to offer.

Greed will not be tolerated. Don't expect to sign on and immediately have everyone stop to help you slay a NM or tackle a quest. We have events that can be scheduled by any member on the forums and we also will have a set night and time where the linkshell will meet together and anyone can request something they need help to be done.

We do have a ventrilo and it is in no way required. It will act more as a social tool since most PS3 players won't have the luxury to use it unless they have a laptop.

If you are interested in Blades Of Valor, please visit our website. Not only do we want to have a strong community in game, but on our website as well. There is no application process, and will most likely remain that way. For now, you can meet up and introduce yourself with some of our members and discuss Final Fantasy XIV. The other members and I look forward to meeting you and sharing our enthusiasm over FFXIV with you.

Curious what time and day do you think you will do planned events.

Definitely organized stuff will be on the weekends. Either Saturday or Sunday depending on the consensus. In FFXI most of the time we would do it on Sunday around 1pm give or take a few hours. During the week, we will have some time set aside for people that need help and I'm thinking those days will be Tues and Thurs.

We'll have to see how the game plays out cause theres still so much stuff unknown in FFXIV. But I can see sundays as Faction Leve, Storyline Mission and "Boss" events while the midweek stuff is more little stuff like guildleves, exploring and xp grouping.

How do I apply to join? I am a mostly casual player, but love the community of linkshells, and love to help out others.

There is no application =D. We are a social linkshell and are all about building a community. Make an account on the website, login, introduce yourself and get to know our members =P. We're almost always on the site or in the chatroom on the site. We can give you a linkshell maybe late tonight or tomorrow since theres maitenence going on =/

I signed up on your website and hope to see you online sometime. I am looking forward to playing this game. Don't know how much time I'll have but still would like to hang out with like-minded people. I am in the Cental Time Zone. I am a nightowl so I do try to play some at night. Right now I am in the process of finishing up my teaching degree so don't know how much I'll be on during the day.

Great, make sure to introduce yourself or make some posts so we know who you are! Our members are very friendly and we're always chatting away in the shoutbox or through threads. The way the site is setup, you'll notice members are usually either yellow or green. Once you actually meet up with us and get a shell in game, we turn your account green so we actually know who's gotten a shell or not.

When you plan to get on FFXIV, just say something in the shoutbox or post something and we'll get you a shell.

For people that sign up, please introduce yourself on the forums or through the shoutbox. We're getting a lot of people sign up and do nothing. At release day I plan on deleting all the accounts without posts so if you do plan on joining on release, introduce yourselves =D

Just a quick update: I went ahead and cleaned our member list. Anyone who has made an account and has never posted has had their account deleted. If you joined in the last few days, your accounts are still there, but please post something; at least an introduction. If your account was deleted and you're still interested in joining us tomorrow, please make a new account, post an introduction and get intouch with someone.

Thanks and see you all in game.

Hey all, Blades Of Valor has been getting swarmed with people. We're currently up to 50-60 members and thinks are getting to get a bit hectic. I hate to say but for now we will be closing the linkshell for more invites. Linkshell chat is getting flooded with talk and don't want it to get worse and lose that community feel. We may open the linkshell back up after the first free month is over since usually many mmo players decide whether to quit or stay. If you still want to get in touch with us whether its crafting or just to talk about FFXIV, you can still come over to our website and sign up.

See you all ingame =D

For anyone who is interested, BoV is open once again. If interested just head over to the website and message us in game. If we don't respond at first, please keep trying. As you may know, FFXIV chat gets spammed pretty quick and it's hard to reply while crafting. We're looking for some friendly players who are active and enjoy playing the game; not just rushing to max level first. There's always stuff going on in the LS and there are always people in ventrilo hanging out chatting.

We look forward to meeting you =D

Hey, I'm a few days behind on your recent reopening, but I was wondering if you are still accepting new members, as I've been looking for a solid LS. I know a member of yours already and have heard great things.

In-game name is Ponce Jones. Thanks!

Zyl we're still accepting people. What is your account on the website? I'll activate it myself so you can skip the email.

It seems I am having a similar problem. I got the registration e-mail and clicked on the link to activate and sadly it will not accept my activation. I've tried typing my activation code into the box and click resend activation code and it still doesn't see to work. My user name is Artega.

I'm usually on during the evenings. My ingame name is Artega Domovoi. Maybe I'll see you in game!

Just letting people interested know we're still here and recruiting :). Linkshell is still holding strong and very active. If you're looking to socialize and do a bit of grouping then take a peek.
Necro Warning: This post occurred more than thirty days after the prior, and may be a necropost.

Yeah this is a great bunch, been with them pretty much since launch. Also there is a spattering of refugees from Pandemonium/Asura here in case anyone is looking.
