Loot add-on neededFollow

Does anybody know of an add-on that will let you skip or auto-discard the junk loot, but still clear the carcass for skinning? I already have GrindLoot, but all it does is automate the sweeping of the junk. I'm really getting tired of having to clear my bags of junk in the middle of a fight or dungeon to make room for a desirable drop.

not aware of one with auto-discard for grey... I'd hate to see a 15 copper item kept while it disposed of a 9g vendor trash dungeon drop just because it looked at quality of item.

There are ones that will dump your greys to the vendor whenever you talk to one though... can't think of the name, as i haven't used it myself ;)

I was thinking not of something that would dump greys as much as something that would just skip over all the claws, eyeballs, fish scales, fur tufts and assorted other animal drop trash they pack in but that has no function or purpose. If you don't auto-loot, you can always do it yourself, but if you don't pick up every piece of trash, you can't get to the only really valuable drop - the skin.

SellJunk will vendor all gray quality items to vendors, I'm sure there is one that with some setting-up will allow you to sell those useless items. Of course that would require knowing the names of them. Hope this helps in the slightest bit possible.

You can't really "skip" the loot because then it would be left on the corpse making it unskinnable. Scrap will auto-sell all greys as well as delete them automatically when your bags are full. That might be the closest you get to automation. It also has a custom "junk list" that you can add worthless whites to as well. Some useless loot actually has very decent vendor price though, so you might want to watch for that.

I feel like they need to make that Jeeves guy from Engineering available to non-engineers.

The Traveler's Tundra Mammoth is available to everyone (who can afford it).

Try ItimizedDeduction...it was a Titan plug in
and might be a stand alone add-on.

It allowed you to drop low-value items by, I believe shift-clicking the display listing.

But, it's a not a stand alone -- it's only a Titan Panel plug-in

Another thing you can do is drop all your unwanted greys into the guild bank. Your guildies will absolutely love that.

The Page companion from the wrath tournament in icecrown doubles as an emergency vendor. I often summon him to empty my bags, he's very accommodating in that regard. I don't know if the guild page also works that way?

It does, but it has a stupidly long cooldown, so you can only count on using him once. I believe (but am not positive) that it shares a cooldown with the Guild Herald as well.

(Yeah, technically a necro, but unanswered question and it was the second thread on the page anyway :P)

I think the new GrindLoot, 5.0 version, has a 'skinning mode' which will loot the grays and then destroy them for you so you can skin. I"m not a skinner myself but the way I understood that option is that it will loot everything and delete the grays. There's also a mining mode that does something similar with gray mining junk.

Good luck.
