Hey guys,

I needed a toon to DE a load of junk greens and blues lying around in my bank, and so I made a DK Enchanter. Unfortunately, I can't DE much until I get my skill level up, but strange dust is super expensive on my server. I have heard tailoring is a good way to go for the purposes of DEing, but I wanted to see what y'all think. I have this DK, a druid, and a rogue...so hopefully this secondary profession would be one that would feed into my enchanting, and also provide utility to my other characters. What do you think?

You can get your skill to 65 from DEing, so my first suggestion would be to run through Deadmines/Wailing Caverns a few times to get easily disenchantable greens. (Obviously, you'll want at least 64 items, assuming DEing skills up 100% of the time, which I don't recall if it does.) Then, use the mats from those to level your skill some more, which will give you the ability to DE higher items, which lets you run higher instances for mats, and so on. If all you're interested in is getting your skill up to DE, then tailoring would be a good second choice because you'll get a fair bit of cloth from running dungeons that you can use to make items to DE. Any leftover mats you don't need for leveling your skill can be sold for a decent price.

Tailoring is good if the alt is taking the profession, otherwise have your other toons just pass it their trash combines.

Once you get to high end levels, JC and Enchanting are great bank alt professions. You can make Rings from JC that only take a few Eternal Earth and then DE them for mats and sell the mats. This works really well on realms where Eternals are cheap
